On this day, when the "New Year" was coming, people were packing their bags and about to go to the deep mountains and forests. Just then, an old beggar came and said to the old uncle, "I have a solution." After everyone left, the old beggar stayed at the old uncle's house. The old beggar pasted window decorations, set off firecrackers at the door, and put on red clothes. The Nian beast arrived and saw that there was no one in the village, only a house with a light on. He also heard the sound of firecrackers, which scared the Nian beast away.
